The 5 Mile Bar, once known as the Five-Mile House, has been a stop for weary travelers, hard-working miners, and rough characters since the late 1800s. Many came seeking rest or refuge. This historic mile house has survived fire, violence, Prohibition, and more than a century of heavy human emotion—anger, desperation, celebration, and loss—all of which are believed to leave a mark. After closing time, unexplained footsteps echo through empty rooms. Voices are heard when no one is there. Dark figures have been seen moving in the shadows, and guests report sudden cold spots, oppressive feelings, and the unsettling sensation of being watched.
