Dumas Brothel
Butte, MT
Step inside one of Montana’s most infamous—and most haunted—historic landmarks.
The Dumas Brothel, operating from 1890 to 1982, was the longest-running brothel in American history. Hidden in plain sight in the heart of Butte, this narrow, three-story brick building witnessed decades of secrecy, survival, and intense human emotion during the city’s mining boom. Today, it stands preserved almost exactly as it was left—its rooms, hallways, and artifacts frozen in time.

But history may not be the only thing lingering within its walls.

Join us for a Paranormal Investigation Experience inside the Dumas Brothel, where guests are invited to explore the building after hours and conduct their own investigation. Over the years, staff, visitors, and paranormal teams have reported unexplained activity including footsteps on empty staircases, disembodied voices, cold spots, shadow figures, and objects moving on their own. Some believe the spirits of former workers or a protective madam still watch over the property.

During this event, participants will have exclusive access to the building, allowing them to explore multiple floors and investigate reported hot spots using their own equipment or tools provided on-site. Whether you’re an experienced investigator or simply curious about the unknown, this is a rare opportunity to connect with a location where the line between past and present feels unusually thin.
Come prepared to question what you hear, what you feel—and what you think you know.
History. Mystery. And maybe… something more.
